A Word A Week Challenge- Boat
After a hiatus, it’s back in my life, A Word a Week Challenge on A Word in Your Ear!
Boat. One of the first words a child latches on to in utter fascination. That marvellous object that bobs upon the water, that potentially carries us far away, into the realm of adventure. As grown ups, of course, we associate a boat with serenity, a welcome lack of anchor for a while, before the rhythm of life reclaims us. Here is a collection of boat pics from various travels…

Nainital, Uttarakhand, Winter 2013. We are not forgiven for going in an ordinary boat. Aadyaa loves the bizarre dragon…

Mumbai, Summer 2013 A pseudo-traditional ferry luring tourists out to sea; the historic Gateway and Taj Hotel in the background

Yup. It’s actually a very old one, rediscovered! Let me know when you own the boat!
Mukta ji,mai kal hi soch raha tha, aajkal aap ka blog roz dekhne ko nahi mil raha hai…isi tarah likhti rahiye..

Boats are so beautiful to watch and I connect so much with the Gateway pics. The boat pics in Uttarakhand brings a tinge of sadness to the heart. Great pics:)
Yea. You never know what will happen next to places you visit. We were in Istanbul last year, now there are public protests rocking the city. In Uttarakhand, devastation. Pictures tell stories beyond what lies within the frame, no?
Yeah, it does. Thousand of stories unfolding itself and they speak the language of love and emotions:) I always have the problem of missing the people and places I connect with through pics. It’s like terrible:(
Great pictures and loved the last one of Mumbai … you inspired me again to put some of my favorite boats pics on my blog too 🙂
